The San Francisco Treat!

For the past few months the boo’s been ranting and raving about how great his hometown is, so finally after several schedule conflicts and a chronic case of broke-assness (on my end) we took a drive up the coast to visit San Francisco! As a child I went to SF with my family on more than one occasion, but never saw much beyond our family friend’s home so I was beyond excited to explore the Bay. With the help of my trusted tour guide we managed to cram a week’s worth of activity into 3 short days.

A few memorable moments:

  • Riding my first trolley
  •  Seeing the lights of the Bay Bridge for the 1st time
  • Stuffing my face at the critically acclaimed Pakistani restaurant Lahore Karahi (I highly recommend the sesame naan & tandori fish)
  • Accidentally locking myself in a garage naked (long story)
  • Sipping coffee seaside in Sausalito, which felt more like Italy than it did California
  • Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Having cocktails at a secret bar (you needed a secret password to get in)
  • Discovering the Mission District. If you’re ever in the area you must check out Little Baobab & The Revolution Café
  •  Eating the freshest, most delectable, thinly sliced smoked salmon from Swan Oyster Depot
