Happy Halloween from BCN!

Those of you who know me well know that I love Halloween, so I was a little bummed when I heard that they don’t really celebrate it out here. But lucky me, a Halloween party practically fell into my lap! My local bar hosted an awesome party complete with a makeup artist painting faces! I met up with one of my friends from class and her husband (photo above). Then afterwards I went to a club with all the regulars from the bar. The last train from Barcelona to Sant Cugat leaves at 2am, which of course I missed, so I had to wait until 5am to catch the first train on Sunday morning, but no worries I was busy shaking my bum at the discoteca!

You look gorgeous Yinkus! It looks like you had fun and I am enjoying the pictures much more when I see some w/ your pretty face! So they don't celebrate Halloween at all? So the kids did not dress and eat a bunch of candy? Have you gone through your list of things to do in Barcellona? Ideal- before you go take some pictures and have them developed and make a scrapebook for the kids- w/English words or phrases to match the pictures. Miss you so much! Auntie Roz

    Hey Auntie Roz,

Thats a great idea (aout the scrapbook for the kids). They really don't celebrate Halloween out here, the kids don't get dressed up & they don't go trick-or-treating. I bought some fake spiderwebs, spiders, plastic pumpkins & vampire teeth for the kids & they loved it. Marta said it was her first time seeing fake spider webs..I'm glad you lile the photos..Now that I have a friends I think I'll be in a lot more pix! Talk to you soon. Love you!

Oh, Also I do have a list of things I want to do while I'm out here, so I've been able to cross out: learn how to make a tortilla (out here tortillas isn't flatbread, its a spanish omelette made with egg & potato), try cortado (its a typical coffee they drink out here) & discover good spanish music. The things I haven't done yet are: go to a futbol game (soccer), go wine tasting & watch Spanish movies (althoug I do watch alot of Spanish TV)
